I found this thing called Image Resizer, a context menu-based tool. It’s a clone of what was part of the “Power Toys” package for XP and 9x, but died with the advent of Vista/7.

The 2.0 beta x64 version seems fine for this setup. There is a version for 32bit as well at the link.

It’s handy, quick to install, and does not require any version of .Net to be installed as well. That’s a big deal imo, coz I’ve seen one or two of *those*, and imo they are pieces of ***t.

Very simple to use. Select an image(s), pick your dimensions, select from a couple of other options, and batch resize away.

This version has not seen updates since 2009, but it works, so that’s enough for me.

Maybe someone can test to see if it works on Win10, assuming it’s something worthwhile to have there.
