Tunes 11 brought many new and useful features but along with all these good helpful features was one big thing: the removal of the much loved sidebar. Everyone who uses iTunes uses the sidebar it is unavoidable and has links to all your media libraries as well as the iTunes Store, Genius, your playlists and others. Let's face it - it was useful. Then along came along iTunes 11 which had decided that it didn't need a sidebar - a drop down box would do! Fortunately the old sidebar is there - just hidden, and luckily it's easy to get it back! you can either choose View>Show Sidebar from the menu bar (press CTRL + B in windows to show it). Option two is to press CTRL + S (windows) or ⌥ + ⌘ + S (Mac). This will bring back the sidebar and disable the, frankly useless, drop down box replacement.
