This collection of things will change, as or if I find more tweaks that worked in 7 but still work in w10.

<———————————————————————->

• I’m glad MS left this in... or they just haven’t gotten around to getting rid of it.

“C:\Windows\System32\SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe”

^^ I liked how you could have a little granular control over effects in 7, and I thought it was gone in 10.

• Also this:

C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe shell32.dll,Options_RunDLL 7

^^ If you make a shortcut with that as the target, Folder Options will open in the View tab, which is where I’m almost always going.

• If you want to turn the File Explorer Navigation pane on or off, you can add a reg entry. Note: At the link, it says for Win7, but it works ok for me on w10. It makes for a cleaner Explorer window, provided you can do without the pane.

• Remember, too, that ALT+P will toggle the preview pane in a File Explorer window.
