This tip seems small at first but it could be a big deal. When you’re making those Win10 system images, for godsakes make the repair disk when that option is offered. Make a bunch. Make copies! You won’t be sorry if you do, and you might be sorry if you don’t. You’ll find what you need if you Search for File History. MS sure seems to hide this stuff.

I thought maybe I could get by with just a Win7 repair disk to handle everything, but nope. That disk just sees what it wants— a Win7 image, unless there’s something that I don’t know enough to work around.

Until I learn what that might be, it appears that nothing goes better with images, than matching repair disks.
