I was looking for a way to batch encode some stereo MP3s into mono. I found this direct download, at “freeware genius”

MQM can do mass-conversions, and then a little more. Try it, if you need such a tool.

You wouldn’t believe all the overly 8987ing complicated geeky-ass solutions that were posted at some places. Some people throw out the name Audacity, like that can do everything—- and if it can’t do what you want, then you don’t need to be trying to do whatever it is you’re trying to do with MP3s.

Then there were the Lame command line people, plus the Bash people — all the ones who want to show off their programming prowess— and failing— because they made it so much dorkier and harder than it has to be these days. Screw all the archaic/archane dead languages that stick around, merely as geek religions.

...eta.... It wasn’t supposed to end that way, with a rant. Enjoy the program.
