In case you weren’t aware, you can use 7zip as a (basic) icon extractor for various files, including .EXEs (if they contain any icons at all). E.g. I wanted one of the “key” icons that’s in c:\windows\system32\slui.exe. I opened 7zip and directed it to that path, then right-clicked slui.exe and chose “open inside”. Within, there was an ICON folder whose contents I copied elsewhere with F5.

Handy. 7z! On the job, as always. : )
